Making a Coif
Since most respectible women in the rennisance covered their hair, I made a coif.

I used 100% cotton muslin.
Cut a circle out the measurment of the back of your head (this is the back). Then I cut out a long piece that is as long as the circumference of the circle. The front is a wavy line. I'll get a picture up of the pattern.
Decorate the back. Sew the 2 parts of the front part and attach them sandwiched between the 2 layers of the back along with trim.
