Friendship Blanket

 

My Knitting group is making 7 x 9 inch squares for a blanket to be given away to a needy person.  So we had to pick out a stitch we hadn't done before and knit a square.  This pattern caught my eye.  I asked the group if they though it too weird but they all seemed to think it would be just fine.  So I have learned how to do twisted stitches properly.  Front and Back twists.  This pattern is from Barbara Walters, Charted Patterns.
