A & S Tourney

This is the Arts & Sciences event.  This year I am a teacher.  My class is Introduction to Inkle Weaving.

 

Dress

I wore the Green Norman Bliaut.  I did not wear the underdress (shock!)

The Weather was beautiful, but the temps were over 90 and I was in the shade most of the time and there was a breeze.  I was very comfortable in my gown. But I did get hot while teaching, since I had to walk about to help folks.

I took a class in sewing velvets.  Watched the blacksmithing (really fasinating!) Svein made several things for the household cooking.  Master Helgi was there and had full classes.  I bought some of his beads..the big ones are only $10.00  ...merchants sell them for $20.00! 

Gianetta was elevated to Laurel for her cooking skills.

There was a long Laurel meeting which I had to wait while Isela and Catherine went, it was over 2 hrs!

However, I got a spool of Cotlinen in purple from Catherine & Isela and Mistress Jaina gave me a wool pin cushion for my birthday.  Red velvet cupcakes were had by all...very sweet of my friends.

Isela and Catherine took the class.  I had 3 others as well!

 

Hard to see, but I've got the hat on!   Glad I did, no sunburn this year.
