His Grace Fleig's Undertunic |

At the request of my Laurel/Pelican/Royal Peer, I made the undertunic for Fleig. This is part of a secret project to suprise him at 12th night. Her Majesty Elis requested the undertunic be made ahead of time though. No problem for me. |

All seam allowances done by hand. Of course, all embroidery done by hand in 2 colors, ecru & blue Pearl colors #3032 & 3782 cotton for ease of washing. 4 yards of linen used, since this tunic is 57" long. His outer tunic will be green & blue Embroidery on this undertunic is around the neck, around the shoulder seams and the cuffs. |

| My personal opinion: The tunic is too big. I don't think the numbers taken off the old tunic are adding up correctly. I wanted to test the undertunic with the overtunic, but that didn't happen either. I just didn't trust the numbers and made the sleeve length much shorter than was called for... | The Good: The gussetts came out looking very nice. |

He got his undertunic on Thursday before 12th night (Saturday), so he had a suspicion that something was up. He was very appreciative and greatful that so many people did this for him. He is a great person, I was more than happy to help. |

At March Crown 2010, his grace read a thank you poem as his thank you. Her Grace Ellis, also gave me this hedgehog pincushion as a thank you. I'm so happy with it, I was lusting after them at 12th night. They come from a pennsic merchant! I've looked around on the web, and I think this is the cutest needle felted pincushion out there. |

4_10_10 final notes: I spoke to his grace and the wants to have more undertunics made like the one I made him. He loves the long sleeves, it hides his watch. The neckline is too wide., he'd prefer it smaller. (something I cannot fix) |
